Transcare took part in Athens Pride Week 2021, participating as a consortium in the biggest celebration of the LGBTQI+ community that was held in Technopolis of Athens on July 23, 2021.

During the event the coordination team of University of Athens presented to the public the goals and the activities of the project, discussing also with the audiencethe challenges that trans people face by accessing in healthcare services, which have been intensifying during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At Transcare booth the public had the opportunity – in compliance with all measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 – to visit the project’s website, to be informed in detail about its purposes and activities and to contact the members of the consortium. At the same time, the health professionals who attended Athens Pride Week had g the opportunity to participate in the online research we organized during that period about the attitudes and perceptions of health professionals regarding the access and provision of healthcare services to trans people in Greece.
