About us and our role regarding your personal information
“Transcare: Improving Access to Healthcare for Transgender Individuals” is an EU-funded project approved in the Framework of the European Union’s Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020) comprising 9 partners in Greece. Transcare is expected to result in a better-informed environment for the rights of the transgender people and an improved accessibility of transgenders to healthcare by increasing the capacity of clinic staff and providers about the healthcare rights and needs of transgenders and how to handle such cases. It will also, contribute to the protection of the transgender and LGBT rights by addressing policy gaps, proposing potential solutions and creating policy recommendations. The Coordinator of the project and organization authorized to communicate on behalf of the consortium in matters related to this website, is the National and Kapodistriako University of Athens – School of Medicine (3rd Department of Surgery, 4th Department of Internal Medicine and 2nd Department of Psychiatry).The relevant Project Manager is Ms. Evika Karamagioli and can be reached at [email protected].
